It has all the features of 1.0 plus many new ones but with a much more user friendly interface. Superior 2.0 is truly the next version of Superior 1.0. I would like to clear up some of the confusion on the products. We did the libraries at Avatar Studios, Hit Factory NYC (which has since been turned into condos) and Allaire Studios. I did the Avatar library for EZDrummer and also the first three studio libraries for Superior 2.0. I was NOT talking about the Drumkit from hell expansion pack for EZDrummer, I was talking about DFH SUperior, which is indeed a different thing.Ĭheck out the audio demo's, I think they sound amazing !ĮDIT: after re-reading your post, I#m not sure if I understood right.Īnyway, the way the advertize 2.0 on their site, it makes you think it's a follow up to DFH Superior, as it says something like "Superior got better" etc. This is a misunderstanding, have a look at the link I provided in the post above. On EZD and Superior 2.0, that's already done for you.
You should note that DFHS drum sounds will need more tweaking and adjusting of things like compression to sound great in the mix. I personally would get Superior Drummer 2.0, but if you want the ultimate metal sounds and really know what you're doing when it comes to production, get DFHS. DFHS is even more tweakable and is oriented towards metal sounds. Like a more tweakable EZDrummer with all the expansion included. It is basically an ultra-version of EZDrummer.
Superior Drummer 2.0 has nothing to do with the DFH series. PS: Sorry about the lenghth of this post. What do you guys think? Advice/opinions/suggestions welcome and appreciated ! I do not only want to use it for Metal, but I'd use it a lot for Metal, I think. Would it be smarter to wait tunil the new version is released? Anybody know more about whether the new version will have less Drum sounds suited for Metal than the old version? It costs about the same in Europe as the new Superior 2.0 will cost according to Toontrack's website. I could probably still get a copy of DFH Superior, but I'd have to make a decision soon. I like the audio demos of both of them a lot, it just seems DFH Superior, which is discontinued, BTW, has more Metal demos up, which makes me wonder whether the new Superior 2.0 will have less Metal Drum sounds? I have now been checking demos of Toontrack's DFH Superior : and the yet to be released Superior Drummer 2.0 I have been checking out lots of demo tracks, and Metal_terrorist had posted an awesome comparison on his website of Addictive Drums and EZDrummer.
